tdb & smbclient - unable to update

Hello,

using yaourt -Sybu, I'm notified that there's an update for tdb(tdb-3.2.5-1) and smbclient(smbclient-3.2.5-1).
Trying to update, i get the following error:

checking dependencies...
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: smbclient: requires tdb=3.2.4

Trying to install smbclient also failes, for the same reason.

Tried to use -Sf to force the install, and -Sd to skip dependencie checks - but NADA, nothing works.

Can anyone help?

Try using another mirror. I don't know why you are getting this error as smbclient-3.2.5-1 depends on tdb-3.2.5 as it should.

First of all, thanks for replying.
I was using the Israeli mirror, and just switched to the british mirror (http://www.mirrorservice.org/sites/ftp. … po/os/i686)

The problem remains...

Any thoughts?

Can you try again the british mirror you linked? Maybe it wasn't fully synced.  I just checked and everything looks OK.

Hi,

I'm currently using Server = http://www.mirrorservice.org/sites/ftp. … po/os/i686

It didn't seem to make much of a difference. But i fixed it by forcing the removal of smbclient, then upgrading tdb and then re-installing smbclient.
