Without ever have done, or even thought of, something like this, I'll bet that E17 will work. Everything can be done with a GUI in Enlightenment. And, this past year or so of development was heavily based on porting it to a touchscreen phone.

Are EEEs so customizable ? Didn't know that
I'll have to get me one....as soon as one with 2+ GB RAM and a dual-core CPU comes out
So, you'd want a mouse friendly window manager? I would suggest openbox then.
The day Microsoft makes a product that doesn't suck, is the day they make a vacuum cleaner.

But if they tell you that I've lost my mind, maybe it's not gone just a little hard to find...

I would suggest openbox
I second the motion. I'm using it right now and enjoy it quite a lot. There's not a lot that I can't accomplish with just the mouse.

I believe he's referring to a touch screen, and not a mouse.

Well since a touch screen and a mouse can perform the same functions, it still applies.

I'd say e17 or compiz.

I'd say e17 or openbox. Maybe matchbox, but it's not working correctly for me.

isn't e17 the new wm of openmoko? and would that mean it works with a touchscreen?
