Go-OO

I saw an article the other day on Linux.com taling about Go-OO and how most major distrobutions use it. There does not seem to be a package in the AUR and the official package seems to be comming from OpenOffice.org for the upstream. Is there any reason we would not be able to switch to Go-OO from OpenOffice.org?

The reason I bring this up is because there seem to be alot of desireable features in the Go-OO version like better .doc handleing faster startup times, and SVG support to name just a few.

Yes I know its in AUR, but its there any reason were using that vanilla version over the more "Linux Friendly" and less restricted version?

Sorry if I misunderstood. Check out AndyRTR's posts in this thread:

He's Arch's OO.org maintainer, and from looks of it, will check out sane requests.
