(yet another) Xorg update problems (topic)

After the update, I can't make the vertical scroll work with my touchpad and I can't suspend anymore.

I have a Dell Vostro 1310 laptop, using XFCE - yes, I enabled evdev input.

please help

Is hald running (/etc/rc.d/hald start -- and then try to suspend)? How are you trying to suspend? What (doesn't) happen? What error/warning messages are you receiving?

hald is started. I use gnome-power-manager and after I saw the laptop didn't auto-suspend when I closed the lid, I tried to suspend it using the menu, but there is no suspend/hibernate option anymore.
