Good Asteroids clone?

Does anyone know of a good asteroid clone besides maelstrom and kasteroids?  these two are ok, but there are some things about each I don't like.  I just got one from the aur written in haskel, and, well, no.

Asteroids is pretty much the only video game I like.

Definitely try out the games under Space Arcade here, though some are STGs, not asteroids:

Subspace Continuum can be made to run on Linux. It's an MMO version of Asteroids. I used to play Trench Wars all the time.

sasteroids is worth trying out.. this is a rework of the original sasteroids and it can be downloaded as a binary package that should run on most linux distributions..
