[SOLVED] aplvl reinstall probrem by yaourt

First of all thank you all whom created this program and maintain.
I like apvlv very much, because this is simple and vi like interface.
well, I dont need describe about apvlv ,you guys know much more than me.

Here is question, I had to reinstall apvlv. so i did "pacman -R apvlv"
and pacman -S apvlv" and then i have got this error...

==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check!

so, I downloaded this source which name is "apvlv-0.0.4.tar.gz"
from http://apvlv.googlecode.com/files/apvlv-0.0.4.tar.gz
and md5sum it. and it is different SUM as PKGBUILD file contain.

I even dont know if i am doing correctly or not. but i just edited PKDBUILD file and set new line. line below one.(because google-code says it is updated 8 hours ago, even program version is same.)

md5sums=('47b8986efadfe883bf5119bbc24f08ed')

then hit "pacman -S apvlv" again. it seems ok and started to compile the program. and now

checking for C++ compiler default output file name...
configure: error: C++ compiler cannot create executables

I dont know where is the config.log is.. (cant find it by locate command.)

Upstream appears to have replaced the file with a newer version with the same name, and in the process of doing so, broke something...

Please use the comments section in AUR next time to inform of errors.

Thank you mentallaxative for maintain apvlv and reply me.
I dont exactly understand what your "Upstream" mean. Is it google apvlv source server Upstream? or AUR?
I supposed to it is AUR Upstream, because i see your new comment of this post druing apvlv instration after i change AUR server. (what a nice AUR system. lol)

BUT, after i edit md5sums line same as above(my first post) I could install apvlv now

and next time I comment to specific program, I will use comments section in AUR.

By upstream, I mean the developer of Apvlv himself. If you check the updates page on Google Code for it, you will see that he has recently re-uploaded the 0.4 version of apvlv.

yes, I notied it .... and it seems it is became trouble some for now. apvlv freeze every time i use page up , page Down:(

btw, sry about my mistake it was not pacman
it is "yaourt". this is just mistake to describe at here.
i did "yaourt -R apvlv" and "yaourt -S apvlv"

The author of apvlv fixed a bug and re-upload the source today and I have updated the package in AUR. You could try it again.

Any problem when running apvle could be reported to the author. You can find the contact in it's homepage.

I noticed you changed it, and now i can install apvlv without edit PKGBUILD file by myself.
very appreciate you, you added apvlv to AUR this is why I am here now:D

well, I like the potential of this program very much.. but this is a bit too buggy ins't it.
and he always minor update without version up.. that make us confusing everytime

There are really some bugs in apvlv, but you have to admitted that the developer works hard and does it on his own time. the program is free software and you can contribute some code to help him. The version is growing and it is 0.0.4.6 now.

I would also like to note that apvlv has an issue tracker on googlecode now.
You open a bug report there instead of contacting him.
