Adding options to modules in modprobe.conf

Hey guys, I find that my wireless connection is significantly improved when I do the following at boot:

# rmmod iwlagn
# modprobe iwlagn 11n_disable=1

So I put the following in /etc/modprobe.conf:

#
# /etc/modprobe.conf (for v2.6 kernels)
#

options iwlagn 11n_disable=1

...but the options didn't seem to "stick;" I still have to at them manually. What gives?
