Rewrightable cd problem

Does somebody know how i  can let Arch read and blank cdrw's cd's. When i put one in my cd drive i can't mount the disk ore blank it with cdrdao. Other normal cd's work normal. It's also a dvd reader.

Did you add yourself to the optical and storage groups? Can't think of anything else related with permissions. Did you try with other burning programs? Or maybe a faulty drive / incompatible with those cds?

Well indeed maybe it is a hardware issue. When i try to erase the same disk at home on my acer laptop everything works just fine.
