How do I debug acpi crashes (happening since kernel 2.6.27).

Hello there,
as you can guess I am a relatively new arch linux user and have now experienced my first major problem. I am experiencing regular acpi crashes (at least I think that is what happening, dmesg at least shows nothing) since the upgrade to kernel 2.6.27 (everything worked before then). What is happening, is that my Battery and AC modules seem to stop working after a random amount of time, mostly few minutes after booting. acpi -V shows the correct values in the beginning, and then stops working telling me the ac-adapter is offline and there is no battery. Reloading the modules doesn't seem to solve it.

The first thing I did was to recompile my dsdt (a belinea (former maxdata) o.book 4, nobody seems to have one so I was on my own) - that got rid of some warnings, but there were no major errors from the beginning. I got it error and warning free - but that didn't really do anything.

Now I would like to get some info why acpi is crashing, but I have no idea how I can get a stacktrace or something that would maybe point in the right direction. Is there a way to do that ? (I hope without compiling a custom kernel with debug support). I am not really hoping that I can figure it out - but maybe it is something obvious or some module. I tried upgrading to 2.6.28 (zen), that unfortunately didn't fix my problems though.

Anybody here with some ideas ?
