[SOLVED] Perl 5.8 help needed

Hi,

I have customer that insists on Perl 5.8 installation, 5.10 can't be installed for him. Can you tell me how to install this? Is there package or repo with specific versions available? If so, I noticed different Perl 5.8.x problems so I am wondering what version he really needs.

He also needs GD perl library, does anybody knows what is this and where I can find it?

Thanks a lot. I am in slight hurry and would appreciate any help, please?

Compile the version you need with ABS. Also look in the AUR for any modules you might want.

Thanks. I avoided ABS so far but it may be right time to try it.
