Konqueror very slow or doesn't load at all

I'm using KDE from the official Arch Linux repos (no KDEmod). I'm trying to use Konqueror as my default browser, but it's loading webpages either very slow (42 seconds for google.com) or doesn't load them at all. (Whether it loads the page or not, doesn't seem to depend on the website, because sometimes a site works and after a minute doesn't work anymore.) On the same machine it works without problems under Kubuntu 8.10 (KDE 4.1). Even within Arch Linux Opera and Firefox load as fast as usual. When the webpage doesn't load, I get this error message: "The requested operation could not be completed. Connection to Server Refused." (The server is defenitely not down, because it works in Firefox at the same time.)

Is there any hint?
