Midnight Commander - connecting an ftp site with @ in username
How would I have to write the needed parameters if the host needs to have login name in the form of user@site.com? This - user@site.com:password@ftp.site.com - did not work in MC.

Try %40 instead of @.
eg. username%40password@ftp.site.com
That works in Firefox.

This method does not seem to work in MC. Entered like this: user%40site.com@site.com, MC asked for password but could not connect.

your%40email.com:password@site.com
