nautilus CD burner vs. Brasero [SOLVED]

Since last update couple of days ago I found that when I try to burn cd using nautilus cd burner, it actually summons Brasero final burn dialogue.

Initially it didn't work at all, showing stupid error messages, until I enabled a plugin within Brasero to handle uri (whatever that is).

Anyway, I find former nautilus cd burner prompt more friendly and sufficient to me and would like to get it back. How do I do this?

Advice is greatly appreciated.

PS. I looked through properties of both nautilus and brasero and in gnome configuration editor as well and did not find any choices of default cd burning app.

removing brasero would likely work

i find gnomebaker and nerolinux to be far better anyway

brasero, nero, k3b, none of them works on my burner, go back to growisofs.

I dont think you can compile a project to burn with bashburn can you?
If it doesnt do that, it has no advantage over cdrtools in cli..

Try uninstalling Brasero as mentioned. There is also no reason to listen to these silly people about alternatives if you like the Nautilus burner and it does what you want it to do. ;3

Sadly, it did not!

now, when I try to burn the disk, an error message pops up, saying:

"Unable to launch the cd burner application
Failed to execute child process "/usr/bin/brasero" (No such file or directory)"

So, I think, I'll have to get over it for now... until i find how to turn it around.

UPDATE: Problem solved by removing Brasero _and_rebooting_computer_ afterwards. Feels like good ol' windows
