(Solved)USB mass storage driver could not be recognized

Last week, after upgrade I found that I could not find the driver even using sudo fdisk -l, and yesterday I bought a new one from the mall, but it still could work; And when I am running windowsxp, everything is good with these two drivers!

the related dmesg output:

Re: (Solved)USB mass storage driver could not be recognized

I had the same problem.

lsmod shows me that the usb-storage module is missing. Maybe the last updated kernel fails to autoload it.

So,

modprobe usb-storage

and everything now works. wink

Then I also have inserted the module in /etc/rc.conf, in the "MODULES" line.

Try with this. smile
