Running KDE4 off standard repos and using shaman as a pacman frontend. I use tellico to keep notes on books.
The app installed fine, no dependency errors, but when I try to start it from the CLI I get this:
[toad@myhost ~]$tellico &
tellico: error while loading shared libraries: libexempi.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
[1] 3424
[1]+ Exit 127 tellico
I cannot find libexempi.so.3 with shaman (or pacman for that matter) and am somewhat lost Anybody got a torch to get me out of here?

Thank you string, but what is that? I was just after a working tellico version or info on how to get it to work. Can you expand on what exempi is? It doesn't really let on on the website (scratch head).
Also, call me a Richard Stallman, but that thing has a BSD license and is based on something Adobe cooked up...

Call me Linus Torvalds On A Stick but I've already went googling in order to find that page (I had/have no idea what exempi is). Alas, why are you so afraid of the BSD license?

@toad The short answer to solve your problem is to run as root "pacman -S exempi". Hint: "pacman -Ss exempi" and "pacman -Si exempi" to use be nice too.
The longer answer is to find in the changelog of tellico (see at the bottom of http://www.periapsis.org/tellico/ in the lines of Version 1.3). It seems that the maintainer has exempi installed on his machine but forget to append it to the depends array in the PKGBUILD.

Wow, thanks string (alias Linus ) for doing the ground work for me and finding the solution and attila for banging my head against it! I checked the tellico changelog as advised and all is well - exempi is only used for the pdf importer. I also wrote to the packager and informed him of this.
Many thanks to both of you again
