[Solved] Shutdown from KDE 4

hi guys :>
just gave kde4 another try and it's running quite well; however i can't shut down from the kmenu :<
is there anywhere an hidden option to enable it, missing package!? wink i can just logout; neither shutdown nor reboot works without root rights.

kde starts automatically per .xinitrc/startx; a default user is defined in the inittab file

best regards
:>

I think in system settings > advanced > session manager you can activate 'offer shutdown options'.

Re: [Solved] Shutdown from KDE 4

Correct, but arch0r will not see them.

KDE shutdown options only work if you use a graphical login manager (kdm/xdm/gdm etc) .

Personally i use logout and poweroff from console (configured sudo to allow my regular user that command).

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

(A works at time B)  && (time C > time B ) ≠  (A works at time C)
