Merging from Ubuntu to Archlinux

Hi all. I recently purchased a Dell Mini 9 (aka Dell Inspiron 910).

I had the option of getting it preinstalled with Windows or Ubuntu. I chose Ubuntu for obvious reasons. However, the issue here is that I really, really dont like Ubuntu (my main distribution of choice is Gentoo). Granted, I dont want to put Gentoo on this laptop since the harddrives are sold state drives and I feel that Gentoo, with its compiling, would contribute too many writes to the disk.

So I'm going to try to use Archlinux (a distro that I have never stopped loving!).

The only issue is that I dont want to waste too much time trying to get things to work when I know already that everything works flawlessly in Ubuntu (right now I am typing this on my Mini 9 while having a webcam chat via skype with my girlfriend! Skype rules).

So the question is this: What information is necessary for me to take note of and/or copy down so I can easily replicate it in Archlinux?

Main things are:
1. Sound
2. Wifi (i dont know if I am using ndiswrapper or not, for instance... even though my card is a BCM4312)
3. Webcam
4. Battery information (i never realized how useful this was until I actually had it working under Ubuntu, heh).

What do I need to copy down? lsmod? kernel .config files (which fittingly appear to be missing in Ubuntu -- i have no idea how this distro even manages to function properly... neutral)?

Thanks for your hints, help, and suggestions.

Re: Merging from Ubuntu to Archlinux

Intel graphics and Broadcom wireless (http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Broadcom_BCM4312) are fairly easy so I doubt you will have any problems there.

Battery information under Ubuntu is probably gnome-power-manager.

No idea about the webcam.  Have a look in the wiki to see if you can find anything.

Solid state drive? Take note of pitfall section as stated in
