How to keep the fallback kernel when upgrading?

My current testing kernel doesn't work very well. The fallback version is just fine however, so that's what I'm using. Is there a way for me to keep the fallback kernel when the next kernel upgrade comes through, so I can rest assured I have at least one working kernel?

Fallback kernel is the same as you current kernel.... the only difference is that  initrd is made with all sorts of support .... so have a look at mkinitcpio.conf
