I plan to try KDE 4.1, I've had good experience with KDEmod 3.5 before, so I checked their website, they do have KDE 4, however, in the screenshots sections, they say it is exactly like KDE 4 compiled from source, so I wonder is KDEmod 4 just a rename of KDE 4, or they did some tweaks to make KDE 4 more stable and user friendly?
Thansk a lot!

most of the packages are splitted to avoid unessesary dependencies so you can, for example, install kopete wihtout installing kdenetwork

If KDEmod is modular, why does pacman -S kdemod install lots of applications that should be optional?? Like Kamera, DragonPlayer, Kopete, KMail, KOrganizer, Shaman, KGrubEditor, KWallet, etc, etc...
The installation guide explicitly says that you cannot just do pacman -S kdemod-kdebase, or you will experience problems. This is in strong contrast to what I would expect KDEmod to be like :-/

Because doing pacman -S kdemod installs a more complete version of kde. There's also the kdemod-minimal group which is exactly what it sounds like.
