[Solved]can not access local network webpage

Hi all

I would like to access a local webpage http://name

yes my browser almost direct me to an internet page with the same name

i suppose this is a dns problem
since i can access the page using ip address directly

and i dont think the order of the entries in the resolv.conf matter in my case
since i tried several times

what should i do ?
also when i change the resolv.conf, how can i make the changes in effect ? by /etc/rc.d/network restart ?

Re: [Solved]can not access local network webpage

you have to add that name in /etc/hosts.
127.0.0.1 name

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.
