[uvesafb and v86d] Framebuffer Resolution

Hi guys,

I'm using uvesafb and v86d and I'm trying to set the fb resolution at 1280x800 on my SONY VAIO VGN-FE41Z (archlinux x86_64).
My graphic card is a NVIDIA go 7600

I did as this wiki says:
http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Uvesafb
now the resolution is really better but I think it's still not 1280x800 because fonts aren't clear.

I suspect that uvesafb is simply ignoring my /etc/modprobe.d/uvesafb, but how can I check it?
I mean, is there a command to see the current resolution?

Does this show the correct settings :

bsdtar xOf /boot/kernel26.img /etc/modprobe.d/uvesafb

You could also have a look at dmesg :

dmesg | grep uvesafb
