I switched to Linux completely back in 2003 and since then I've tried a number of distros (Fedora, Zenwalk, OpenSUSE, *ubuntu, Gentoo, even Arch a few times) but I've never felt satisfied with my experience until now.
Just now (two minutes ago) I finally got the last piece of the puzzle to fall into place on my Acer Aspire 9410Z laptop. The wireless internet is up, X is up, all the packages I use are instaled. Everything is totally together, and I am extactic! It's finally what I've always wanted on my computer. Only what I've put there, everything I want and nothing else.
This experience has taught me the re-kindle my love for the operating system. I am getting my hands dirty again and it feels good to be connected to process again instead of just allowing Desktop Linux to run my life (and make all my choices).
This is a silly post, but I'm really that excited!
