Pimp My arch

hey guys. im looking for a good darkish theme that mirrors arch. blue ect. i would also like to have the arch log in my gnome menu. (also are there any other menus for arch the small gnome one is rather squashed?)
so im looking for a good
icon theme
metacity theme
and gtk theme

I personally think that the Clearlooks Metacity/GTK theme fits the Arch colors and style pretty good, although it is very default looking. The Tango icons work quite good as well.

the screenshot thread is probably the best place to find arch style themes (thats actually why the sceenshot thread exists, so we can share configs and themes)

but anyways im a big fan of dark themes

i like

royalty
and
mire v2

for icons i think the black-white 2 series icons match perfectly with arch

If you want a mac-ish theme get the auroa engine and use the midnight scheme. Ans there is Blue  Joy which is a black and blue gtk theme also screenshots is good

Look in your gtkrc or look at the page tyou downloaded it from. It should say either: clearlooks, or murrine, or pixbuf, or xfce4, or auroa.....

I just looked at your gtkrc file and it says:

engine "pixmap"

check here: http://www.archlinux.org/packages/?q=gtk1

So install gtk1-engines that includes pixmap engine:

x86_64: http://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra … 1-engines/
x86: http://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra … 1-engines/

Your theme also says that it uses the mist engine:

I saw a mist engine for ubuntu: http://packages.ubuntu.com/hardy/gtk-engines-mist

..... but I'm not sure what Arch package.

I have it. I think it comes by default with GTK, but I could be wrong.
