Urxvt and openbox (forked to background and can't enter text)

When I open urxvt with openbox, urxvt gets forked to a single spot above everything and can't be moved. I can't select it at all and can't enter text. This was even with the default config. What could be happening?

If I give urxvt borders from .Xdefaults, then all is well but I've had it without borders in the past.

EDIT - I also have gmrun set to have focus in the rc.xml when it is opened yet it never does.

Try it with default openbox/urxvt configuration files first and tell us if the problem persists.

Its because you probaly set borderless to true in your ~/.Xdefaults. You need to use ~/.config/openbox/rc.xml to set urxvt without borders.
