Ubuntu Netbook Remix Interface on ArchLinux

How can I have the following interface in ArchLinux ?

I am thinking of buying an Acer Aspire One 9"Screen/1GBram/160GBhdd subnotebook in a few months.
So I was researching through netbook OSes.
I chanced upon this and I LOVE IT.

I don't want to leave archlinux because I can never get another equally comfortable fast and elegent OS (gentoo is great on powerful desktops, but  on 1.6GHz atom compiling software would be a serious pain).

Now, whether I buy AspireOne or not, I definitely want this interface because it would make it easier for my non geek family to use linux and it looks somewhat neat.

Arch is what you make it yourself. There's something similar you can use in the lxde project. Or look out what Ubuntu has used and adopt what you want.

Here's  the link to the gui's project site:
https://launchpad.net/netbook-remix
You can download the source from here:
https://launchpad.net/netbook-remix/+download

So you just have to make a pkgbuild for it. It's a theme that changes the standard Ubuntu desktop.

Re: Ubuntu Netbook Remix Interface on ArchLinux

I thought this was already in the aur repos as of like last month.

EDIT: Whoops. I didn't read; someone already mentioned it.

Re: Ubuntu Netbook Remix Interface on ArchLinux

Hmm... nice to see that its in the repos.
What does it actually do ? Does it require gnome ?
Is it stable enough ?

Because I want to be 100% sure that I can safely install it in my extremely stable arch xfce system.

Re: Ubuntu Netbook Remix Interface on ArchLinux

AFAIK it does require gnome. However, I never tried any other underlying DE. I absolutely dislike gnome, so I found myself something lighter.

Gnome + NBR ran very decently on my EEE900, so it will perform well on any netbook. Installing NBR from aur was a breeze. Stability wasn't a problem. I never had any crashes or freezes.
