Hi all!
I'm currently homeless (...living in a hostel) and I'm trying to install archlinux on my computer, but i'm having some trouble since i can't connect to the internet after installing the base distro.
I have a dongle for internet connection via mobile broadband or the hostel private wifi, but i can't install the usb dongle (maybe i should download drivers for it) and i can't manage to switch on my wifi (Intel(R) WiFi Link 5100 AGN) probably because the touch sensible button on the case it's not acpi compatible or dunno... plus once connected i should log in on the router welcome page to grant me WAN acces.
Do you see any possible solutions rather than using an ethernet cable?
PS: My computer is stuffed with a bunch of useless but stylish gadgets like touch sensible buttons to control the volume and playlist, hard disk shock protection, an array of two mic, a webcam, an IR remote controller, Bluetooth and TV tuner. Is it possible to make them work on Linux? On the HP site there are no drivers available for Linux...
