Does that mean that it'll be available in http://www.archlinux.org/download/ soon? I'm getting my Netbook tomorrow (I hope!) and plan to install Arch on it this weekend. Ext4 support in the installer would be neat.

No it's not There's a difference between release *candidate* and release. We still need to test and check if the bugs are fixed.

Since Dieter@be is following this thread, just a little suggestion to him and the rest of the Release Engineering Team:
- On the 'download Arch'-page, mention at least once which is the current version (maybe there is a mirror out of sync causing someone to download an out-of-date installer...)
- Provide release notes (like the one that's shown in the FTP-dir where the RC-images are at this moment) somewhere on the same page so you don't have to download 100MB+ to get the official release notes...
- Provide 'known bugs'-information that can be edited as people's experiences come in. Maybe link to the wiki where everyone can share his or her experiences and provide the official known bugs where only devs can change the info... I'm thinking about the small bug where the static networksettings are saved incorrectly (or at least some of those settings)
Come to think of it - we don't need another wiki-page, but a link to the bugtracker's section on the arch installation could serve the same purpose.
Zl.

Some good ideas, I posted them to the ML (except the wiki-page-for-bugs thing , we have a bugtracker which works great)

You should read http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Off … tall_Guide . Its out of date ATM but will be updated when the ISO is final.
There shouldn't be any reason to learn more editor types than emacs or vi -- mg (1)
