mplayer segmentation fault

Mplayer has always worked fine for me until i Syu'd a couple of days ago, since then every time i start mplayer it just returns "segmentation fault".  Any suggestions?

try -Suy again (mplayer works for me)

yea that was the first thing i tried but it did no good anything else to try?

pacm -S gdb
gdb gmplayer
(gdb) run
if it crashes put
(gdb) bt
post here maybe we can solve it

0x4000f644 in ?? ()
(gdb) Quit

(gdb) bt :

0x4000f644 in ?? ()
this pattern continues with different addresses for 500+ lines
Cannot access memory at address 0xc0000000
