[solved] oss daemon on boot

hello,
first post, it is about OSS. I've been having problems with ALSA crashing misteriously after a while, well i think it has something to do with multiple apps running(ie firefox(flash)+ mpd-Sonata ...). Anyway, the thing is that i try to load OSS module at system startup and the message "oss module not found" appears. Then, when i'm already logged in, i load it the rc.d way:   #/etc/rc.d/oss start
and there is no problem, loads fine.
Any ideas? I've been searching around the forums and I found a similar cause with 'mpd', but no solution so far. Ah!, and i'm having this same 'problem' with mpd as well, just to let you know
thank you!

Re: [solved] oss daemon on boot

Are you using OSS or oss in the daemons array? It should be lowercase.

Re: [solved] oss daemon on boot

"oss module not found"

Put it in the daemons array not the modules array

Re: [solved] oss daemon on boot

oh my god,
i'm ashamed to have asked for such simple thing. The rc.conf file could not be more clear: "DAEMONS" array and "MODULES" array...
yes, both oss and mpd are daemons so, obviously i should have put them in the daemons array,

thank you sand_man : D
