a very strange behavior of numeric keypad

Hi all,

having returned from Christmas holidays, I upgraded my Arch and I started to have problems with numerical keypad. It's very weird. In Firefox it is OK. In Konsole (I'm running KDE) it is OK too, but when I run mc, it goes crazy. Numbers look dead, + produces l, * produces <ENTER> etc. I have no idea why... Have someone had such a problem? Can someone help me?

I must admit that, since the hotplugging appeared, I no more understand my keyboard settings. I used to have two keyboard layouts (us, cz) defined in xorg.conf, they were switched by the win key. Then the evdev and hotplugging appeared. Now, I have AllowEmptyInput=true and keyboard configuration sections commented out. I haven't configured HAL at all. But surprisingly my keyboard layout switching goes on working.  The KDE layout switcher is disabled and still it works. I'm really lost. This is likely for the first time that something keeps working although I'm trying to knock it down :-)

Many thanks for any ideas.

Cheers, Kašpi.

Re: a very strange behavior of numeric keypad

It seems to be a bug in Konsole, as the combination of xterm + mc works fine.
