Xorg error

Hello.

After upgrading yesterday (first upgrade in months), xorg stopped working. Apparently it had to do with the fact that the i810 driver was removed. So I replaced that in my config with the intel driver. But now when starting xorg all I get is a black screen.

remove i810 or add "intel" instead, or try starting xorg without xorg.conf and see what happens.

Oops, sorry, wrong config file; I accidentaly posted the old one.

I am using that exact same config file but with i810 changed to intel. That's when the error comes up.

If removing xorg.conf doesn't solve your issue, It might be a bug in xorg intel driver:

I believe im running into the same issue. Not sure, but I think mine may be due to the hotplugging in the new Xorg version. Though I've tried disabling it and un-commenting my mouse/keyboard, but it still does the same thing. Hal daemon starts first in my rc.conf..

Im using an Nvidia Card (570m) on the Thinkpad T61p with the nvidia-173xx driver.

Anyone got any ideas??
