Hi,
After the update of ffmpeg whenever I try to start Ushare I get this error message:
ushare: error while loading shared libraries: libavcodec.so.51: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I'm using Ushare to stream videos to my Xbox 360, and it's always been working real nice. When this error occured I tried installing Mediatomb but I couldn't get my Xbox to find the Mediatomb server for some reason. Right now I'm using my friends PS3 to watch videos as it finds the Mediatomb server. So I know the Mediatomb server is working.
Anyway if anyone has any ideas on how I can either make Ushare work again or how I can make my Xbox find the Mediatomb server it would be highly appreaciated.
I've been thinking that maybe I could get ushare running by making a symlink named libavcodec.so.51 linking to the new version of that file if there is one. But I'm not sure where to place the symlink or where/if there is a new version of the file.

symlinks are bad.
It is a [community] packages so file a bug report. While you wait you can use ABS and makepkg to rebuild yourself.

As a hint, it's actually the libdlna (also in [community]) package that needs to be rebuilt against the new ffmpeg.

Thanks for your answers! Rebuilding libdlna and ushare from AUR did the trick!

You can mark this thread as solved (edit link in bottom left of your original post) and remember the bug report...

So, I just filed my first bug report. I wasn't exactly sure how to write it but I guess it's better to file a somewhat lacking bug report than to not file one at all...
And thread is marked as solved.
