Upgrade Issues

Hello,

Its been a long time since I posted on this board. I recently upgraded one of my home web servers and I'm having tons of issues. The first issue, when I boot up, i do a "ps -ax" and don't see any of my services up (httpd, proftpd, etc.).
If I do a "uname -a", it still shows me on the previous kernel (2.6.20).
I don't have any network connectivity, so I'm moving back and forth between my laptop and the webserver. I'm using grub and don't think its using the correct vmlinuz image to boot up. I checked under /boot or /boot/grub and don't see any new images. Can someone specify where the new location of the image is ? Maybe this will let me boot up with 2.6.28 or whatever and I can work on it from there and report any other issues.

EDIT: I did a full system upgrade (pacman -Syu) before I got where i am right now

Thank you

Re: Upgrade Issues

How long has it been since you've updated, and what packages did you update?  They should be in pacman.log.

You can do a "pacman -Ql kernel26" to see where the files associated with it are.

Re: Upgrade Issues

its been more than a year since I did a full system upgrade. this was a full system upgrade so it looks like I got upgraded from 2.6.20 to 2.6.28 or whatever the newest build is. the funny thing though, i'm still booting up to 2.6.20
