Foxit Reader

My favorite pdf viewer on Windows has finally made it across to linux (in a usable state). I know it's closed source and everything, but damn it's fast. Thanks for posting it tdy!

I actually preferred Foxit Reader in wine over linux pdf readers sometimes

It works somewhat with lib32s.. it can display PDF files, but the interface is really butchered.  It's not very usable (especially the "open" dialog), so I didn't include it in the PKGBUILD.

cool, even if it is not very usable at the moment as you guys said.
one of my favs in windows.
let's hope they solve all problems.

EDIT: after a first look at some pdf-files they look better here than using other linux-pdf-viewers.

Yeah, it's a good news that now we have yet another lightweight PDF-viewer.

Foxit really seems to be fast and clear and has got all the necessary functions.

But I found one obvious disadvantage, while I was trying it out. It seems to me that Foxit renders fonts worse than Acroread.

To see what I'm talking about take a look at this screenshot:

Note how symbols rendered by Foxit (on the left side) differ from Acroread's ones. There are something like micro-blots making appearance of symbols unkempt.

I hope that developers are going to improve the quality of font rendering.
