my speakers dont mute if i plug in headphones[SOLVED]

i read a post about what to do but my audio codec was different $cat /proc/asound/card0/codec\#* | grep Codec
Codec: Conexant CX20549 (Venice)

does anyone know what the issue might be here?

HA! fixed it by googling and found an old thread add this line to /etc/modprobe.conf to fix... options snd-hda-intel model=6stack-hp
