[solved] mount error: cifs filesystem not supperted by the system

Strange, but only had this problem since upgrading from 2.6.27 to the latest 2.6.28 available in arch.

spike tinuva # mount.cifs //10.5.1.230/media /mnt/wamediax/Media -o user=guest,pass=mypassword
mount error: cifs filesystem not supported by the system
Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g.man mount.cifs)
spike tinuva # modprobe cifs
FATAL: Error inserting cifs (/lib/modules/2.6.28-ARCH/kernel/fs/cifs/cifs.ko): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)

As for the installed and running kernel now:

spike tinuva # yaourt -Ss kernel26
core/kernel26 2.6.28.1-1 [installed] (base)
     The Linux Kernel and modules
spike tinuva # uname -a
Linux spike 2.6.28-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Tue Jan 6 09:25:48 UTC 2009 x86_64 AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-60 AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux
