resolve-modalias: command not found

After upgrading the kernel, I couldn't boot into arch linux. It would say that "Failed to parse block device name for /dev/disk/by-uuid/......." I have tried regenerating the image with mkinitcpio, but I get the error "resolve-modalias: command not found." I have looked for how to install this, but I couldn't find anything. Where would I be able to get 'resolve-modalias'?

Edit: Nevermind, I found out the problem was with klibc

Re: resolve-modalias: command not found

I've just had:

/lib/initcpio/functions: line 7: resolve-modalias: command not found

when updating to the last kernel on an oooold arch install. It looks like "resolve-modalias" belongs to udev. Updating udev removes that error when re-installing kernel:

# pacman -Sy udev

I think we could set that thread as "SOLVED"

Re: resolve-modalias: command not found

I just gotten the same error, too. Thanks for telling me the origin of modalias.
Especially because I'm REAL new to Arch. wink
