i have noticed in the last few days, that VLC is using more cpu resources then it used to, currently is using about 80% .
is there any way to stop this?
running a nvidia 6200, and currently using the X11 output.
Thanks Markp1989
EDIT: looking in top. its not all used by VLC , but is split 50% Used by X and 25% used by VLC, but it only happens when playing a video with VLC, and the video stutters when scroling in firefox, or opening new programs.

Only major update in a little while that I can think of was NVIDIA, which cas caused some problems. Try rolling back to the 177-series using an old mirror/PKGBUILD.
