led_class and /proc/acpi/asus conflicting in kernel 2.6.28?

Hello everyone,

as subject states.

lsmod | grep led:

led_class               5508  2 iwl3945,asus_laptop

dmesg:

Registered led device: iwl-phy0:radio
Registered led device: iwl-phy0:assoc
Registered led device: iwl-phy0:RX
Registered led device: iwl-phy0:TX

First of all the led indicator does not work (supposed to show when wifi is on and when its off). And as it can be seen I have an asus laptop. However, before the kernel upgrade I used to have a /proc/acpi/asus/ which is missing now. By using /proc/acpi/asus/wled I could control the wireless-led manually and I configured cpudyn to use the wled to signal me when cpu is throttled and when its running at full speed.

If anyone knows anything about this and how I can get my /proc/acpi/asus/ (2.6.27 behaviour) back, I'd be very thankful.
