KDE 4.2: Plasma doesn't "remember" removed plasmoids

Hi,
I have KDE 4.2 running and everything works perfectly. Except: Plasma doesn't "rember" when I remove plasmoids. Everytime I restart my system, the plasmoids are on my desktop again.

Any hints?

I made edits to posts on that thread, so go look at it again if you tried looking for things in .kde

Also, what I did feels like a bandaid, and I don't know whether it is a reliable fix. 

I'm getting the feeling that plasma still needs some work.  (I have to alt-f2 then run plasma every couple of hours when it crashes out of the blue, and I'm left with an empty black screen and a mouse pointer.)

In the end I had to uninstall kdemod and install regular KDE 4.2 from Arch -- no problems with this now.

I removed ~/.kde4/

Seems this worked.
