Getting Gnome-Do plugins working? [Solved]

Installed latest Gnome-Do 0.8 is there an easy way to install [get working!] plugins ?

Is it just a question of clearing out configs?

it's strange that the plugins are not displayed at preferences! The plugins will be soon created by the maintainer:

Re: Getting Gnome-Do plugins working? [Solved]

Hello everybody smile

I am new and would like to thank you for that forum that I often read and that helps me to fully enjoy Archlinux. Considering gnome-do plugins, I also have a problem with the session management plugin :

[Error 20:29:29.446] [PowerManagement] Could not reboot: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.freedesktop.PowerManagement was not provided by any .service files
[Debug 20:29:29.447] [PowerManagement]   at IPowerManagementProxyProxy.Reboot () [0x00000]
  at GNOME.PowerManagement.Reboot () [0x00000]

According to one of the gnome-do developper on irc, they say that this issue could be sourced in the archlinux/gnome environnement.

I would like to know if you people have an idea about this issue ?

Thanks,
Sirsurthur

here is working. seems that is a problem with your configuration.
i think you need to use hal from testing. also post here the output of "groups"

Re: Getting Gnome-Do plugins working? [Solved]

Indeed docky is working fine in 0.8, but session management plugins do not as shown in message #3 because of the dbus-link to the desktop management apparently... I do not have any solution yet to propose ...

Hi wonder,

I am not indeed using hal from testing actually. My output of grous is :
"lp wheel video audio optical storage power users julien"

Thanks,

i'm in dbus hal groups too. give hal from testing a try and then if isn't working try to add your username to that groups too
