Hi there,
can anyone tell me if this laptop will work ok with arch?#

specifically the wireless adapter, everything else is probably pretty straight forward.
Thanks in advance!

Fancy brochure, but it doesn't tell you what you need to know i.e. the wireless chipset in use. See if you can find that out, and then have a look at our wifi wiki page, and/or the rest of the internet.

You honestly don't want us to do all the work do you?
Google the wireless chip in it and you'll know soon enough whether it is supported by Linux or not .

Hahah no i didn't expect anyone to do all the work for me. I did some more digging, and it's proving difficult to check the exact wireless card that is in that model. Even the HP site lists two different ones.
It would appear to either be:
Atheros (possibly AR5009)

or Broadcom (possibly 4322AG, but it's not specific)

After looking around a little more, i found this:

Looks like if its a broadcom, its a no-go, but Atheros is for the win. I'll have to contact the shop to see if they can tell me which one it will be.
