I've been interested in tiling WMs for a while now, but I don't really have the time to configure one. I was fascinated by this article, and I promptly installed "tile" with yaourt. Sadly, the "tile" command returns command not found, and I haven't found a file to use pacman -U on.
Any suggestions or alternatives?

In the AUR, tile is something completely different. The article you linked actually provides the link to the correct AUR package, which is called tile-windows.
FYI, there's also wumwum.sf.net and something in our Community Contributions board - they do similar things.

You can use "pacman -Ql tile" to find which files are installed by a package, and I think u_no_hu has created a tiling program that works with various window managers which is available in the community contributions forum.

you´re looking for tile-windows (http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=16168). tile (http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=7498) from the AUR is something completely different.
i named it tile-windows, because tile was already used.
btw, i´d rather recommend whaw (http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?O … _Search=Go).
you need the mouse for that, but i think it´s more versatile.

ps: d´oh! i should have read further - tomk said it all...

Well, there's my problem. Thanks everyone, I'll try out the correct package and whaw tonight.
