KDE 4: Gnome apps inherit dark KDE theme, makes fonts unreadable.

Hello arch users!

First of all I got to say this is a great forum.  I've found more tipshere than alot of other places.

I've got a question and it isn't a bug but maybe someone knows how to do this.  When I load Gnome apps in KDE 4 (particularly firefox) it inherits the darktheme I use.  This isn't a problem mostly expect with firefox which makes some pages get a dark background and the fonts become unreadable.  Is there a way to start Gnome apps without inheriting KDE 4 appearance?

Do you have gtk-qt-engine installed? If so, under your control panel/appearance settings, there will be a "GTK Style and Fonts" option. You can do configuration in there that will tell it to match KDE or choose a different theme.

ah good news.  yeah that does help.  Also i just learned in irc to turn off coloring of non kde 4 apps in System Settings > Appearance > Colors and uncheck "apply colors to non-KDE4 applications".

lol, there should just be one for firefox smile

thanks aglarond
