how is lxsession suppossed to work?

i'm using openbox and i wanted to try a session-manager, namely lxsession.
in my  autostart.sh i have:

lxsession -display :0.0 -session mine &

but somehow it does not work. when i logout and login again no settings, open apps or similar are saved/restored.
any hints?

Re: how is lxsession suppossed to work?

LXDE takes care of starting the session manager, so I never had to go look for the command! Perhaps if you install LXDE, then copy back some of your openbox configs as you find the differences between the two. It is based on openbox, so your .config/openbox/rc.xml (I think that's right?) becomes .config/openbox/lxde-rc.xml, and instead of autostart.sh, you put startup .desktop files in .config/autostart/ . Then maybe you can also track down where the actual lxsession command is given in the startup sequence.

Good luck!
