Xorg upgrade - what is it about the framebuffer bpp?

Hello.
Today I upgraded my Arch system including Xorg. I noticed that I have to add a FbBpp value in my xorg.conf to get my Display subsection working.
Before upgrading:
Subsection "Display"
  Depth 24
  Mode "1024x768"

After upgrading:
Subsection "Display"
  Depth 24
  FbBpp 24
  Mode "1024x768"

I have read man xorg.conf and thus I added this FbBpp value to get the right resolution with depth 24. But what I am wondering about is: why does it say in man xorg.conf "this configuration shouldn't be used" ??? I mean, I have to use it to get my Xorg working. But what's so dangerous about this FbBpp that there is a warning about it?

Sincerely,
