I don't see anything in that list that should have an effect on thunderbird. Maybe someone that knows more than I has an idea.

Removed thunderbird from /var/cache/pacman/pkg.

Added Thunderbird to KDE menu but it still does not start up when selected. No e-mail.

Just before I logged in to this post, I used lost and found to find thunderbird. Why it became lost is an unknown.
I now have it on desktop icon for selection at large.
