I have been googling for packages (usually specifying the full name ie openobex-1.3-{2,3}-i686.pkg.tar.gz) gives hits, nothing now though. The repos still have version 2 it seems, ABS shows 1.4 is in testing and 1.3-2 is stable.

It's possible the mirror is not fully synced yet, but usually that gives database errors (ie packages not being available), and this one seems different?

According the the SVN commits logs, all the bluez related stuff has just been moved from [testing]. This may be a mirror sync issue.

no, afais it's not. i tried the archlinux official repo (Server = ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/$repo/os/x86_64) and i still get the error above.

I tried more than ten mirrors to check all are synchronised. But all are having openobex version 1.3.2 only. As moljac024 said I could not down load the package. Thro' googling and from this link http://www.bluez.org/openobex-14/ new version 1.4-2 build and installed and updated the bluez. I am using phonetoothui mainly for sending SMS for which I had a problem with libbluetooth.so.2 file, a workaround thro' symbolic link solved this issue. Now phonetoothui application is active again and working fine.

That link works nicely, I was able to build that newest version of openobex, but there is another error:

resolving dependencies...
looking for inter-conflicts...
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: blueman: requires bluez-utils>=3.24-2

bluez-utils no longer exists, it's merged into bluez so blueman PKGBUILD needs updating

Hello moljac024 , the mirror I used the Server ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/$repo/os/i686 for syu, which removed bluez-utils (3.32-1) and installed bluez 4.29-1. Hope DonVla link may solve your issue.
