kbluetooth4 now works (almost...)

Yes, finally, kbluetooth4 now works (almost). The tray icon is loaded and has all functionality in place. Just upgraded the bluez packages and now the bluetooth gui works.

Kudos to the devs for the updated packages!

Re: kbluetooth4 now works (almost...)

Well, unfortunately, there are still problems. When I start kdebluetooth4, I get an error message, but nevertheless the icon is loaded and is usable. My bluetooth mouse is then detected, and I get asked if I want to always trust that device. Answering yes pairs the mouse, but the option doesn't seem to stick, so I have to pair it after every reboot. Also, before the upgrade in the bluez stack, my mouse was autodetected and ready to be used at the KDM login screen. Now, I have to follow the above procedure with kbluetooth in order to use it. In the pacman.log I found that my bluetooth config files in /etc/bluetooth/ were backed up so I tried to restore them and see if the mouse is autodetected and autopaired after reboot, but no, it won't work. I think the instructions in http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Bluetooth_Mouse cannot be applied after this upgrade.

Anyway, at least a progress has been made and kbluetooth is semi-usable now. As soon as I have access to my lap I will post the packages I have installed.

Re: kbluetooth4 now works (almost...)

Hi, kbluetooth finally works here!
I packaged the kde 4.3 beta1 and rebuilt kbluetooth and ALL works (send files, receive files...) so you must only wait kde 4.3 to be released smile

if someone wants the kde4.3 pkgbuilds, they are here
