link to hard disk partition in Gnome

This may sound like a very simple question. But i use Arch and Gnome.
i have a hard drive mounted at /stuff and i wanted to set up a link to it on the gnome desktop that when clicked on will open that drive in Nautilus or Rox.

i can link an app to the desktop or a folder, but cant seem to get this one right.

thanks,

I don't use gnome but have you tried to set a link to a directory?  When it ask you what directory to link to, enter /stuff

That's the way I see it.

Re: link to hard disk partition in Gnome

setting /etc/fstab to have read permissions by the user will also have all mounted drivers appear on the desktop and in "computer"
